Our Minister

Dan Lightfoot grew up in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. He studied chemistry at Arlington State University (now the University of Texas at Arlington. Dan graduated in 1967 from the first class of the Preston Road School of Preaching in Dallas. He worked as youth minister with the Beltline congregation in Irving while attending school there. Dan married Dolores Michael in 1967. They have four children and thirteen grandchildren scattered throughout four states. All of their children are faithful and very active Christians. |
Dan has preached at Broomfield and Aztec, New Mexico from 1967to 1970; Broadway and Madison in Springfield Missouri from 1970 to 1975; Southside in Rogers, Arkansas from 1975 to 1980; West Side in Russellville, Arkansas from 1980 to 2010. He has been the minister for 5th and Greenwich since June of 2011.
Christian camps Dan has worked with include Four Corners Youth Encampment in southern Colorado, Green Valley Bible Camp in Rogers, Arkansas, and Camp Caudle near Dover, Arkansas.
Dan has been blessed to do a lot of short-term mission work on five continents. Including works in India, Mexico, Guyana (South America), Ghana (Africa), and Ukraine. Some of these were campaigns, some were medical missions. Some were church planting works, and others were trips in overseeing and strengthening mission efforts that congregations were supporting.
Dan comments, “God has blessed me with churches that were willing to send me, and for that I am very grateful.”
